We’re starting to see some ripe berries in the patch! There are not quite enough ripe berries yet to open for the season, but we are hoping for later this week or early next week. We will continue to monitor the fields and share an update as soon as the season begins.
As we mentioned earlier this spring, we experienced some winter injury in parts of the patch, and several of the early blossoms were damaged by hard freezes. As a result, this year’s crop won’t be quite as abundant or consistent as some of our best years. We expect the harvest to be a bit more uneven, with some areas of the field producing better than others.
Even with those challenges, we still have a good crop coming, and we’re excited to share it with you. The quality of the berries has been excellent, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the farm.
Thank you for your patience, and stay tuned for opening day information! 🍓
The peas have pods and will be ready for the strawberry season!
