Edible Pod Peas
Mid-June to Early July
We grow the eatable pod peas. We plant 3 different times so there will be ripe peas during the strawberry season.
When picking peas it is important to made sure that you do not pick them too small or too large. You should be able to feel the pea in the pod and if it is overripe the pod will start to turn white.
The peas are located by the strawberries fields. There will be a little trailer with pails to pick the peas in and you can wander the field picking the peas. We will have flags between the plantings that have the ripest peas at the time. Once you are done picking peas you can take them into the garage for checkout where we will put them in a plastic bag to weigh them. The u-pick peas are the same price as u-pick strawberries.
We don’t pick pre-pick peas for sale.

Tomatoes

We grow all of our tomatoes outside in the ground.
Due to the popularity of our tomatoes, we don’t always have a constant supply. We typically sell canning tomatoes by the 1/2 bushel in late August and early September. If interested please call 715-285-5351
We do not normally have green tomatoes available, but they can be special ordered.

Muskmelon
Early August to Early September
They are only available for about a month and do not ripen until late summer, but they are worth the wait.
Some people refer to muskmelon as cantaloupe but they are essentially the same fruit.
Melons can be one of the harder fruits to select because you do not know what is inside. If you want a melon to eat the same day, select one with a yellow rind. If you are waiting to cut it for a couple of days, select one that is a little green. Melons will ripen on the counter.
